The main part of Art-o-thlon consists of 7 weeks of intensive creative championship where everyone giving their vote for the most appealing or the most pleasing participant, piece of art or team can become referees. Friendly yet intriguing competitions will involve 4 teams of artists each consisting of 4 artists in the different fields of art. The project participants are young artists from Lithuania and all across Europe desiring to present the general public with their world-view and constantly searching for new ways of expression. The assignments of the creative marathon will change every week – the following week’s conceptual discourse will be announced during the live TV show.

For the major part of their time the teams will be busy with implementing creative assignments. Once a week artists will create at a live TV show where they will be watched and will receive critique from the evaluation panel consisting of art critics, historians and culture researchers. Spectators of the show will also have the opportunity to influence the fate of participants by sending SMS expressing their likes. The process of the ‘live’ creative process will also be covered online. The Internet portal will provide a closer view of the details of the creative process, conflicts of the teams, the search for a common opinion and the thrilling live of the team participants.

Art-o-thlon teams and all interested will be presented with weekly public lectures delivered by world-known professors and artists in the different fields of art. This part of Art-o-thlon called Edu-thlon is designed to introduce team members and the general public to the topicalities of contemporary art.
