Auksė Petrulienė
Auksė Petrulienė 36, Kaunas. Graphics Master student of Vilnius Academy of Arts at Kaunas Faculty of Arts. Since 2000 Auksė participates in graphic exhibitions in Lithuania and foreign countries. She loves experimenting. Such experiments resulted in a unique audiovisual art project, the Silicon Theatre, where Auksė directs and plays visual performances using silicone dolls made by her. In 2007 she was awarded a Brick of Kindness by Kaunas Municipality for contribution to Kaunas cultural life and development of creativity of the young generation. Auksė says that participation in Art-ot-thlon would help the Silicon Theatre to reach its social mission: Use artistic silicone implants to systematically correct the sadness line in between the eyes of Lithuanian faces.
Kimo Arbas
J. Kimo Arbas, 27, Lithuanian American, born in Hawaii, “on a giant volcano” as he puts it. Later having grown up in Los Angeles he started his career with graffiti art (wall murals painted with aerosolic pigment) he developed his creative activities to film director, vocalist, and as a conceptual artist making video/sound installation performances and compositions. He completed studies at CalArts (California Institute of the Arts) as well as UdK (University of the Arts - Berlin). He has lived in Lithuania for three years already now. Why? America is my birthland but Lithuania is my motherland… - says Kimo who was raised in a patriotic Lithuanian family.
